Insulation boards with Underfloor heating in multi res development

Radiant Australia was proud to be specified to supply and install ThermaSheet™ insulation boards and electric underfloor heating within the penthouses at ONE Subiaco, the landmark multi-residential development by Blackburne in the heart of Subiaco, Western Australia.

Built on the former Pavilion Markets site, ONE Subiaco was designed as a premium residential and mixed-use destination. The approximately $300 million development comprises 236 residences across three distinct buildings, including a 23-storey tower, with architecture and interiors by Hames Sharley and construction by Multiplex. 

With the penthouse collection positioned at the premium end of the development, attention to comfort and finish was an important part of the specification. Radiant was appointed to supply and install electric underfloor heating throughout the penthouses, adding another level of comfort to these luxury residences.

Why ThermaSheet™ and Underfloor Heating?

Rather than installing the heating system directly over the existing substrate, 10mm ThermaSheet™ insulation boards were installed in conjunction with Radiant’s under-tile heating system.

ThermaSheet™ creates a thermal break between the heated floor and the substrate below, helping to direct more of the generated heat upwards into the finished floor rather than allowing valuable heat to be absorbed by the subfloor. This improves the efficiency and responsiveness of an electric underfloor heating system.
